Choosing Your Wheelchair Accessible Van
When you are shopping for your van, you must consider several factors. First, what type of van do you need for your specific disability? If you are in a wheelchair and have limited or no movement in your lower body, you will want to choose a van that has transfer seats, a ramp or lift, and hand controls. These will make driving and getting into and out of the van much easier. If you still have some mobility but you use a scooter, you will want to find a van that has a scooter lift or ramp.
Do not overlook the safety features either. The van should have all of the basic safety features already installed. You can always add or upgrade to other safety options if you wish.
